Great ideas for planning your baby shower decorations.

I planned a baby shower with my sister for my niece. We decided to hold it at the in the local church hall because we wanted to invite a lot of people. We had it at the weekend on the Saturday afternoon. We kept the baby shower decorations simple so we could clean up quickly as we had the room for a limited time period. We did want some baby shower decorations so that it actually looked like an occasion to celebrate. Each new mother is given a bassinet to sleep the baby for the first period of a few weeks. The church hall has a large has a round table that is quite large and seats about ten people. We separated one table for gifts. We laid a pink table cloth on it, it had a soft texture. We used some of the gifts as decorations. I draped a white and pink blanket for the baby in the bassinet with the fabric hanging over the sides. We attached some baby toys including rattles to the blanket with the pins used for the diapers. Then we laid out the other outfits and clothes that had been purchased by my sister. Then we topped off the decorations on the gift table by putting a large stuffed bear into the bassinet. For the food table we put fresh flowers in a central display. We bought these locally. There were nice pink carnations, some and baby’s breathe nicely arranged. We felt at this time that the baby shower decoration table was now sufficient. We used pink napkins that we laid on the table. We also had a cake complete with a stork in the middle with a small doll that was held under its wing. The doll was covered in a blanket made with pink frosting. We provided corsages for the grandmothers to be and of course our niece. We were pleased about everything including the baby shower decorations. We figured the clean up would be a easy as all the gifts, which made up most of the decorations would be going home with our niece at the end of the evening. There were a lot of guests at the event and we had a great time and of course there were lots of nice gifts. My niece was glad that we had rented the church hall as there was lots of room. She is currently feeling closed in with the pregnancy. We were all cleaned up half an hour after the shower ended so we were soon on our way home.
