I personally see Chico competing with Graco as the main heavyweights in the baby stroller arena, and this particular Chicco double stroller is Chicco’s attempt at securing the competitive edge with ‘double stroller perfection.’ While I must warn my readers that the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller is more expensive than the Graco Duoglider to the tune of around $100, there are a number of advantages of choosing this particular Chicco double stroller over less expensively priced competitors. To start off with, its aluminum frame makes it anywhere between 10 to 20 per cent lighter than competing double strollers, and at the same time it is generally a lot stronger than its plastic counterparts. Especially where double strollers are concerned, you should never underestimate the importance of the total amount of weight you’re pushing, particularly if you are planning on taking toddlers rather than much lighter infants. If you are going out on your own, this is even more of a concern since you won’t have anyone to help with the pushing when it gets difficult. Therefore, massive plus points already for the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller, and we haven’t even gotten started on its actual functioning yet.

The next thing that I like about this Chicco double stroller is the fact that its car seat can simply click into place without any additional apparatus required. Many other people are mentioning this as one of the unique strengths of the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller that other double strollers (even top brands like Gracco, Kolcraft etc.) don’t have. In terms of general walking, steering, functioning and so on, this Chicco double stroller is possibly the best double stroller under $300 – my testing experience of it was very smooth; it turns, maneuvers very smoothly and the steering is easy on the wrists, a surprisingly important part of longer trips out. The all wheel suspension works very well and is superior to spring suspension used on cheaper strollers. From current Chicco double stroller reviews I have read similar experiences with movement and steering all over the internet which shows precisely the consistency we need when choosing a new double stroller.

While the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller is approaching perfection, it is not quite perfect. A few issues have been raised by some owners, although as you would expect from a product with very high average ratings from the Chicco double stroller reviews available online, these issues are minor and do not detract from the quality and experience of the Chicco double stroller as a whole. Firstly, while this stroller is a lot lighter than most double strollers, it is not light in absolute terms. I don’t think any double stroller could be, really. A fair number of people have quite rightly made comments about this. Second – and I think this is probably the biggest problem that this Chicco double stroller has – the sun shades are slightly flimsy and occasionally come off. It’s not exactly major but even if it comes off once or twice during a drip, it is annoying.

In summary, the Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller is the best double stroller out there in the $250 price range. In terms of quality and diversity of features, it can also beat many of the best double strollers in much higher price brackets. Its also advantageous over Graco tandem strollers because Chicco double strollers do not require you to put the heaviest child in the rear seat, so you have more freedom to choose – very useful given that young children are often very fussy.
